How did you get started in racing and riding?
When I was 2, any time I saw a dirt bike or a motocross commercial on TV, I would go crazy! My parents never understood why as I was never around dirt bikes and no one in my family had them. My mom starting buying me movies, like Moto XXX with Mad Mike [Jones] and I would watch them over and over. As I got a little bit older, I begged my dad for a dirt bike and eventually got a little 50. I ripped around at the cabin on it until I was about 7 years old.
A couple summers later, when I was actually at a hockey camp, I met a buddy there that rode dirt bikes, but also raced them. He had a KTM 65 and showed me his trailer and everything. After that I was like, “Dad, I need a bigger bike and I need a 2-stroke.”
One day, while Dad and I were driving, he told me that he had bought me a brand new KTM 65! I was so happy I burst into tears! I rode that around the cabin for about a year. At the time, we were building a house and I noticed one of the workers that was talking to my dad had a Thor t-shirt on. I asked him if he rode dirt bikes and he did. He showed me some videos and Dad asked him where is that track that he took this video at? It turns out that there was a track 12 minutes away from our new house. We ended up going to the one race at that track that year, and from there is was a game-changer. I was hooked!
What is your favourite track and why?
My favourite track is Alcurve because it’s like Supercross in that it’s jump after jump with rhythm.
Who is your favourite rider and why?
Ryan Dungey is my favourite rider because he is incredibly talented and both of our Dad’s names are Troy, so I thought from a young age that was pretty cool and maybe I could be like him.

What Canadian Pro do you look up to and why?
The Canadian Pro that I look up to is Broc Shury. Broc has an amazing story and I admire him. He has incredible passion for the sport and he always has time for everyone. I am so fortunate to have him as my trainer. He’s helping me to become a better rider, and I know if I listen to what he says and work hard, I can become a Pro rider.
Who is your hero?
Ryan Dungey.
What are your goals for this season, and what is it going to take to reach them?
My goal for this season is to try to stay healthy on and off the bike and finish in top 3 in Supermini and C Class.
What are your biggest accomplishments?
Winning my first ever moto.
What is your favourite part about going to the race?
My favourite part of the races is hanging out with all my friends, meeting new people from different places, and riding my dirt bike, of course.

What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?
When I’m not racing I like to work on my bikes, do all types of mechanical work, build things and hang with friends.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my sponsors for 2018: MD Distributions, MX Only, Canadian Kawasaki Team Green, Lethal Motor Sports, FXR, and Riggertalk.com. Also, a huge thank you to my parents, without their support, none of this would be possible.
